movies — The Strangers - I don't kow if it was because @ first it was just the two of us sitting in an empty Grauman's Chinese Theater, or it was the addition of the two gay couples that sat in front & behind us, or the critiquing that the couple behind us did AFTER the movie, "that was just ewwwwww, I do NOT want THAT happening to me!!"

but I really dug this movie.

I mean it simply confirmed why I don't go in the woods, but that is just me...

fact is that it NOT being a slaughter, might throw people off from it. people breaking others down w/twisted mental grace gets me hard, & that is just that.

what made this movie good was the strange restroom chic that I didn't see, nor did Funky, but she said she was sitting in a stall mumbling & saying this name over and over followed by, "...she just doesn't understand, she won't understand..."

THAT is the best, but now that I think about it...that WAS the start of where I started to bleed on her...you have to check out weekend vs. weakend for more on that.

I picked up IF when it hit the stands & enjoyed it...A LOT. it was nice nice baby...but then...I realized that there was this whole "not issued in the US" version...AND...of fucking course I HAD to get that.

usually I don't run out for a set of remixes & the non-US version of things, because I am AHMERICKAN!! ummmm, yeah, kidding, I mean really, it was the non-US album w/unreleased tracks, 3 mixed CDs & each on of those CDs had an unreleased version of ANOTHER song on it, for a limited time...for $20...FUCK YEAH!!!!

I mean, if Billy Mays got me to buy all of that fucking Oxy-Clean that one time...why the hell would I NOT jump at this deal!?!?!?!

again, VERY glad I did. sure I could have done without the radio versions of the songs, and opted for another remix...maybe Spectral Ghost's version of ON IT...just fuckin' sayin'. but I REALLY dug the collection...still digging it right now...if you must kow!!!!

movies — Pan's Labyrinth - ok, if jesus, came back (which, btw, I would kow when that is going to be happening, & ummm, yeah, we still got a little more sin-time left, ok) & if he had to see one movie that would entertain him enough to send all of us to heaven...

we all would be in hell right now.

Pan's...where do I start? I NEVER walk out of films, but I was REALLY close for this one. the only thing that kept me from walking was the thought in my head. the one that kept telling me that something REALLY GOOD was coming around the corner.

but it never did.

the main problem was that there were 2 stories going on, that is fine, I can keep up w/that. but in all the write-ups & previews, the girl was suppose to conquer her fears through this imaginary & intricate journey in this other world. like an adult version of Alice in Wonderland, an even darker Labyrinth, Dark Crystal (which is a fuckin' scary thing), etc.

the journey...yeah it was about...about 15 to 20 minutes.

the rest of it was just about some bullshit that I was already kowing what it was about, what was going on, & what was going to happen.

it was retarded.

take for instance the eyeball, this dude can only see when he puts his eyeballs in the eye-sockets of his hands!!!! THAT is some fucked up shit. NOT TO MENTION, all the paintings in his room is of him eating babies. REALLY FUCKED UP. actually, @ this point of the film is where I'm thinking things are going to really get good.

you kow what...he was only around that ONE FUCKIN' SCENE!!!! never to be seen again.

he eats babies...this is an adult fairy-tale...he has eye-sockets in his handsssss!!!! WHY NOT KEEP HIM IN THE MOVIE??

if Pan's would have kept more to Pan's (fuck, if it even had a character in the movie NAMED Pan), the labyrinth, the mystical nature of the girl...fuck stuck to the opening story narrated in the movie. it would have been much better.
